The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has announced extensive road closures and traffic diversions across several key routes in Malaysia from 15 to 17 April 2025. This is to facilitate the official state visit of His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China.
The Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) said that these temporary closures will affect 17 major roads and highways, primarily within the Klang Valley, Putrajaya, and surrounding areas.
According to JSPT Director, CP Dato’ Sri Mohd Yusri bin Haji Hassan Basri, each closure or diversion is expected to last between 30 to 45 minutes to allow the safe passage of the President’s delegation.
A total of 378 police personnel, comprising senior officers and other ranks, will be deployed to escort dignitaries, control traffic, and enforce road laws during the affected periods.

The police strongly urge all road users to avoid these routes during the specified times. Motorists should plan their journeys carefully and follow instructions from police officers stationed along the routes.
“The public’s cooperation is vital to ensure smooth traffic flow and the success of security operations during this important state visit,” said CP Dato’ Sri Mohd Yusri.
Motorists are encouraged to monitor traffic updates through official PDRM channels and remain patient during the temporary closures.
