The road transport department (JPJ) has announced that it is closing the two VEP radio frequency identification (RFID) installation locations it opened in Johor Bahru last month.
The department said that the installation centres at the Johor JPJ HQ in Taman Daya and the Akademi Pengangkutan Jalan Wilayah Selatan at Jalan Kebun Teh Lama, Larkin, will be closed from today, October 30. Both centres began operating on September 22, and had the capacity to process 800 and 400 vehicles a day respectively.
According to JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli, the department has opened up a new collection location for Singapore vehicle owners to obtain their VEP RFID tag. Motorists can collect their VEP RFID installation at the Level 7 Carpark of Paradigm Mall from October 30 to 31 (10am to midnight) and from November 1 to January 31, 2025 (10am to 10pm).
Alternatively, vehicle owners can obtain their VEP RFIO tags at the VEP Collection Center (VCC) at Danga Bay, which is open from 10am to 10pm daily, and also from the information counter located on the third floor of the Woodlands Center, which is located at the MY VEP office in 186 Woodlands Industrial Park E5, from 9am to 5pm, Mondays to Fridays.
