The stylish SUV’s front-mounted electric motor – fed by a 51.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery – produces 176 PS and 280 Nm of torque, propelling it to 100 km/h in eight seconds. Range is a respectable 320 km WLTP. Charge it at 50 kW DC and you’ll go from 10% to 80% SoC in 54 minutes.
With a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless phone charging, a rotary gear selector, 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels, power front seats and a 360 camera, there’s no shortage of goodies on the MG ZS EV. All MG BEVs in Malaysia come with a seven-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, an eight-year/180,000 km EV battery warranty and a one-to-one battery exchange should the state of health dip under 70% within the battery warranty period.
ACE 2024 will also host BYD, Toyota, Proton, Perodua, Ford, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen and Pro-Net’s eMas electric sub-brand.
You’ll also see BMW/MINI (via Auto Bavaria), Mercedes-Benz (through Hap Seng Star) and Volvo (courtesy of Sime Darby Swedish Auto and Sisma Auto). Multi-brand dealership EON will represent smart and Audi while Cycle & Carriage will bring Peugeot and Leapmotor. BMW Motorrad will showcase its two wheelers; Trapo will exhibit its Exosystem product range.
